Computer Graphics Final Project Progress Report 3
By Elbert Christopher Larosa & Matthew Kharli
Since the last progress report, we have made another significant progress to the final project and currently the project is almost finished. Here are the list of features that have already been working in the current project:
- The camera view has been successfully changed to the sniper scope view and that the program has acknowledge the middle part of the scope as the aiming point.
- An animation of player movement getting closer to the rifle scope (in the beginning of the game) has been added.
- The controls has been set up to work as a First Person Shooter controls (camera view without the camera moving).
- All the required sounds (such as the shot’s, in-game BGM, winning & losing condition BGM, hit sound) has been added and working.
- Shooting controls (mouse down) and animation (recoil) has been added and fully working.
- Target down animation (when successfully hit by the shot) has been added (the target will fall down and disappear when hit).
- Bullets left and remaining target calculation are working and the UI for both information has been added.
- Winning and Losing condition has been made and the UI to inform both conditions has been added.
- The target objects are now has been textured.
- Distance calculation from the shooter to the target has been added along with its UI.
- The gravity effect (bullet drop) for the shot has been added and is fully working, which is by using quadratic formula along with the distance value to mimic a bullet drop effect (thus the player must aim higher for further targets to compensate the bullet drop).
